Frederick de Wit was born in 1629 in the province of Holland in the Netherlands. His cartography work was well known and appreciated.
He started by cartography the city of Haarlem and making city maps that appeared in Flandria Illustrata. Later De Wit started to engrave world maps and beautiful Atlas. The World Map Wood Print is a beautiful example of his work!
